Overview
The Maasai Mara is the safari everyone should do at least once, and three days is enough to see it properly. You leave Nairobi early, cross the Great Rift Valley and are watching lions by lunchtime on day one.
We run this trip in two styles: a budget tented camp on the edge of the reserve (the “from” price) and a mid-range lodge inside the reserve. Both include all game drives, park fees and meals. Our vehicles are pop-top safari vans or 4×4 Land Cruisers with a window seat guaranteed for every traveller.
Between July and October the wildebeest migration arrives from the Serengeti and river crossings become the main event. Outside the migration the Mara is still Kenya’s best park for lion, cheetah and leopard sightings.
