Booking and payment
How do I book?
Send us an enquiry by form, email, WhatsApp or phone. We reply with an itinerary and quote. Once you are happy, we send an invoice; your booking is confirmed when the deposit is received.
How much is the deposit?
Typically 30 to 50 percent of the package price, depending on the suppliers involved. Flights are usually paid in full at the time of ticketing because airlines require it.
Which payment methods do you accept?
M-PESA, bank transfer in KES or USD, and Visa or Mastercard. Card payments may attract a bank processing fee.
Are your prices per person?
Yes, unless stated otherwise. Prices shown as “per person sharing” assume two people in a room. Single travellers pay a single supplement, and children’s rates are available on most packages.
Can I change my dates after booking?
Usually yes, subject to availability and any supplier change fees. Flights have their own airline rules. Let us know as early as possible.
What is your cancellation policy?
It depends on how close to departure you cancel and the suppliers involved. Our full policy is on the Terms & Conditions page. Travel insurance can protect you against cancellation costs.
Safaris
When is the best time for a safari in Kenya?
Wildlife viewing is good all year. July to October brings the wildebeest migration to the Maasai Mara and the driest conditions. January and February are warm and clear. April and May are the long rains, when some camps close but prices are lowest.
What vehicle will I be in?
Shared and budget safaris use pop-top safari vans. Mid-range and luxury safaris use 4×4 Land Cruisers with pop-up roofs. Every traveller gets a window seat.
Is a safari safe for children?
Yes. Most lodges welcome children and many have family rooms and pools. We suggest shorter driving days for families with young children and can recommend camps with child-friendly activities.
Do Kenyan residents get a different price?
Yes. Kenyan citizens and residents pay lower park fees and often lower lodge rates. Tell us your residency status when you enquire so we can quote correctly.
International travel
Which countries can Kenyans visit without a visa?
Rules change, but at the time of writing Kenyan passport holders enjoy visa-free or visa-on-arrival entry to destinations including Tanzania, Rwanda, Uganda, South Africa (visa required), Zanzibar, Seychelles, Mauritius, the Maldives, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia (on arrival), Türkiye (e-Visa) and Egypt (on arrival for some). We confirm the current requirement for every booking.
How long does a Dubai visa take?
Usually three to five working days once we have your passport copy and photo. Express processing is available.
Do I need travel insurance?
We strongly recommend it on every trip, and it is mandatory for Schengen visa applications. We can arrange cover with your booking.
Do you book flights only?
Yes. We issue domestic and international tickets on all major airlines, for individuals and groups.
